John Cother Webb
John Cother Webb, English engraver and mezzotint artist, B. Torquay, 1855, died, London, 1927. Called the "Doyen" of English mezzotint artists, a student of Thomas Landseer, largely responsible for the promotion of the mezzotint as a desireable item for collecting. We have more than 250 signed, original works, in the inventory.
